Pav Bhaji..


Spice is life..
Spicy Pav bhaji  is my all-time favorite.  Specially in winters when my fridge is loaded with variety of veggis.. I simply love to make this dish. Any time of the day is just fine. It’s famous in Mumbai but Belgaum’s Pav Bhaji is also has an ultimate taste.

You can use any vegetables in this recipe. It will not only add nutrition also enhances its taste. Usually I use all seasonal vegetables.




Ingredients-
Any vegetables- total ½ kg
Onion- 2 medium size
Tomatoes- 2-3
Potatoes- 2
Peas- 1 cup
Carrots- 2-3
Cauliflower- 100 gms
Capsicum-1
Badashah Pav bhaji masala- 2 tsp.
Chilli pd, salt- as per your taste.
Oil- 1tbsp.
Amul butter- 100gms
Jeera- 1tsp.
Pav- 2 packs.

Garnishing-
Onion pieces- 1 cup
Tomato pieces- 1cup
Lemon-1
Coriander leaves- ½ cup.
Barik Shev- Option.


 Method-
1.    Cut vegetables in to small pieces. Steam or cook them except capsicum (green bell pepper) in a pressure cooker or microwave oven or a steamer. The vegetables have be to cooked completely.
2.    Make tomato puree and keep aside.
3.    Mash these vegetables lightly mash with a potato masher or with a spoon when they become cool.
4.    Heat thick bottomed pan and add oil n put jeera. Now add tomato puree and cook well.













5.    Add mashed vegetable and mix well.
6.    Add sufficient amount of water for desired thickness. 
7.    Add salt, chilli pd and Badashah Pav Bhaji Masala.
8.    U can add MDH Pav bhaji masala too.
9.    Now add Amul butter and keep on sim for 10-15 minutes.


Meanwhile make slits in Pav, apply butter and roast them on pan.
I’m sure the aroma of Pav bhaji will attract your family members..
Garnish well with onion, tomato and coriander leaves. You can even add barik Shev and then dash with lemon juice to make it some more tasty.
