Curry Leaves & Cinnamon Tea. C C T

The whole curry leave tree itself is a medicinal plant. Every Indian household especially South India has this plant in their kitchen garden or in a small pot in their balcony. It is of the common seasoning ingredients that is added to almost every dish to enhance its taste and flavour in Indian kitchen. However, rather than eating this humble leaf (which is slightly bitter in taste), most of us just throw it away. But have you ever wondered if you have to throw this leaf then why our mothers did (even our ancestors) use this leaf to every food preparation?

Chigali.

Hello friends.
Hope U all remember ur early days of Pregnancy??
Pregnancy is the beginning of an incredible and beautiful journey in every women’s life.  Whole family dreams and eagerly waits for the arrival of the bundle of JOY.
Pregnant women craves and loves to eat sour or acidic food as it is conducive to the absorption of iron, promoting the formation of haemoglobin. Vitamin C is necessary for maternal and fetal nutrition, fetal form of its matrix production of connective tissue cells, and hematopoietic growth and development of the cardiovascular system have an important role in the sound.
Early stages of pregnancy, significantly reduced gastric acid secretion, reducing the activity of digestive enzymes, so that pregnant women experience nausea, vomiting Zone 0, loss of appetite and other symptoms. Sour food can stimulate gastric acid secretion.

Sour is probably the only stuff we won't puke right away. It also helps kill nausea that's there like all the time. These cravings are quite normal and actually quite common symptoms that pregnant women show.

People take tamarind for Constipation, liver& Gallbladder problems, and stomach disorders. It is also used to treat colds and fever. Women sometimes use tamarind to treat Pregnancy related Nausea.  It is given to children to treat intestinal worms. In foods and beverages, tamarind is used as flavouring. It is also widely used in Asian cooking for chutneys and curries.

I usually make Tamarind and Jaggery based munching balls to my friends during their Baby Shower. In kannada it’s called Chigali and in North India its known as Ram Laddu.
