Ragi Soup & Ragi Ambali.

Hello friends. You might have tasted Ragi Mudde, Ragi Dose & Ragi Malt. Today
let me tell you how to  make  Ragi Soup as well as Ragi Ambali… Its very easy & tasty too. 

Ragi is the common name of Finger Millet in Southern part of India. Along with oats this is one of the most nutritious food and one of the easy one to digest. It is rich in calcium and protein and also has good amount of iron and other minerals. It is extremely good for people of all ages. It is low in fat most of which are unsaturated fats.
 Ragi is often ground to a fine powder and sold which is popularly known as Ragi Flour. Ragi Malt is available in market which is made by sprouted Ragi.
Ragi is a very good to be included as a part of staple diet as it lot of essential nutrients, amino acids and minerals.

Ragi soup is good for winters.Ragi ambali is very famous in Uttar Karnataka. 

 Ragi Soup- ( Winter)




Ingredients ---
Ragi flour- 2 tbsp
Butter – 1ibsp
Pepper powder – 1tsp
Salt to taste
Method-
Take 2-3 cups of water in a bowl.
Add ragi flour n salt & mix well.
Now boil it .
Bring it down n add butter & pepper powder.

Serve hot . 



Ragi Ambili ( Summer)



Ingredients ---
Ragi flour- 2 tbsp
Jeera – 1 tsp
Butter milk – 1 cup
Pepper powder – 1tsp
Garlic & ginger paste
Coriander leaves paste
Salt to taste

Method-
Grind all ingredients n mix in butter milk to a thin paste.
Now take 4 glasses of water bring it 2 boil.
Add butter milk paste to it and  stir well  2 avoid lumps.
Cool it and serve.

Soybean 

Hello friends.. Oooo Its raining … So let us cook something healthy & tasty for our family. 

Well you all must be knowing that  soybean is the most widely grown and utilized legume in the world and one of the most well researched, health-promoting foods available today. Soybean has been cultivated in China for over 3,000 years but the good news about soy is the culinary versatility and exceptional health benefits are a relatively recent phenomenon in the West. 

Health Benefits
· Soya - is truly a wonder food.
· Soya is an excellent source of dietary fiber and protein.
· It is rich in vitamin B6- important in building amino acids and in the formation of neurotransmitters.
· Soya is often recommended as an alternative for meat in low-fat diets.
· Soy’s greatest advantage is in it being a rich source of isflavones - plant hormones helps to reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.
· A soya diet may also play a role in the reduced incidence of menopausal symptoms among Asian women - in fact, it is thought that plant hormones will eventually take the place of conventional estrogen-replacement therapy.
. Soy has beneficial on blood pressure and cholesterol and urinary excretion.

Soya is available in market in different forms.
Soya flour, Soya chunks, Soya granules, Soya Sauce, Soya curds, Sprouted Soya beans
Soya oil.
So lets make something different snacks with Soya Chap..

 Soya chap Fun rings…


Recipe –
Ingredients - For covering fun rings
½  kg – Soya chap
½ cup- Corn flour
¼ cup- Rice flour
4-6 Green Chilies
½ cup curds.
6-8 pods of garlic
1 tsp – Jeera.
½ “ Jinger
¼ cup- Chopped coriander leaves.
Salt to taste

Oil- for frying 


Ingredients For Coriander Chutney-
1 cup Coriander leaves
1 cup curds
2 G. chilies
½ tsp Jeera
Salt to taste.

Method- Coriander Chutney –
1.      Clean corianders leaves & add other ingredients and grind to a fine paste.
2.      Now beat curds & add this ground paste.
3.      Mix well n keep aside.

 FUN RINGS.



Method- 
Wash Soya chaps n cut in to thin rings.
1.       Grind masala for covering; mix thoroughly with curds & corn flour in a bowl.
2.       Combine these rings then toss gently and keep aside to marinate for at least ½ hour.
3.      Heat oil n deep fry these FUN RINGS to a golden brown in a medium flame.
4.      Serve hot with Coriander Chutney.
5.      You may sprinkle  Chat masala on FUN RINGS.
