Soybean 

Hello friends.. Oooo Its raining … So let us cook something healthy & tasty for our family. 

Well you all must be knowing that  soybean is the most widely grown and utilized legume in the world and one of the most well researched, health-promoting foods available today. Soybean has been cultivated in China for over 3,000 years but the good news about soy is the culinary versatility and exceptional health benefits are a relatively recent phenomenon in the West. 

Health Benefits
· Soya - is truly a wonder food.
· Soya is an excellent source of dietary fiber and protein.
· It is rich in vitamin B6- important in building amino acids and in the formation of neurotransmitters.
· Soya is often recommended as an alternative for meat in low-fat diets.
· Soy’s greatest advantage is in it being a rich source of isflavones - plant hormones helps to reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.
· A soya diet may also play a role in the reduced incidence of menopausal symptoms among Asian women - in fact, it is thought that plant hormones will eventually take the place of conventional estrogen-replacement therapy.
. Soy has beneficial on blood pressure and cholesterol and urinary excretion.

Soya is available in market in different forms.
Soya flour, Soya chunks, Soya granules, Soya Sauce, Soya curds, Sprouted Soya beans
Soya oil.
So lets make something different snacks with Soya Chap..

 Soya chap Fun rings…


Recipe –
Ingredients - For covering fun rings
½  kg – Soya chap
½ cup- Corn flour
¼ cup- Rice flour
4-6 Green Chilies
½ cup curds.
6-8 pods of garlic
1 tsp – Jeera.
½ “ Jinger
¼ cup- Chopped coriander leaves.
Salt to taste

Oil- for frying 


Ingredients For Coriander Chutney-
1 cup Coriander leaves
1 cup curds
2 G. chilies
½ tsp Jeera
Salt to taste.

Method- Coriander Chutney –
1.      Clean corianders leaves & add other ingredients and grind to a fine paste.
2.      Now beat curds & add this ground paste.
3.      Mix well n keep aside.

 FUN RINGS.



Method- 
Wash Soya chaps n cut in to thin rings.
1.       Grind masala for covering; mix thoroughly with curds & corn flour in a bowl.
2.       Combine these rings then toss gently and keep aside to marinate for at least ½ hour.
3.      Heat oil n deep fry these FUN RINGS to a golden brown in a medium flame.
4.      Serve hot with Coriander Chutney.
5.      You may sprinkle  Chat masala on FUN RINGS.
