Thalipettu.



Thalipettu.

Ingredients:

Rice flour - 2 cups
Cumin Seeds (Jeera) - 2 tsps
Onions – 2 (finely chopped)
Green chilies – 3 (finely chopped)
Coriander leaves - 1/2 bunch
Salt - for taste
Water

Paladya .

Butter milk- 4 katori
Cumin Seeds (Jeera) - 2 tsps
Musterd seeds- 2tsp.
Basen- 2tbsp
G.chillies- 4
Jinjer- 1’
Coconut (scrapped) - 1/4 cup
 Coriander leaves -

Method: Thalipettu

1. Take rice flour in a large mixing bowl. Add all above ingredients n add luke warm water. Knead well.
2. Grease karai/ tava .
3. Make small balls n pat on the greased tava. You need two pans to alternate and use so that one becomes cool enough to handle while the other is on the stove.
4. Now pour few drops of oil and roast on both the sides. 
5. Serve with coconut chutney/ dry chutney powder, Butter & Paldya.
You can serve this thalipettu hot / cold.
*For crispy effect add lil oil n keep aside 2 cool. 

Method:

1.Make butter milk.
2.Add  above mentioned ingredients n grind well.
3.Put vagar , add karipatta n grounded masala n stir well.
4. Take basen in a katori, add butter milk n mis well.
5. Add this to the boiling masala n add rest of the butter milk n stir well.
6. Bring it 2 boil.

* You can add cucumber pieces or even sugar cane pieces.

Now serve crispy Thalipettu with curds, Paladya, Pickle, butter & chutney pudi.
